This slug was lying , what I thought was dead in the middle of the path, in bright sunlight for a whole. Went out the following morning and it is coming back to life under the thick coating of mucus it had been under for about 24 hours and was struggling to free itself.
This little Antirrhinum has come from nowhere to grow under our Blackthorn
This is Sisyrinchium bellum which comes up and flowers year after year, puts up with being moved all over the garden and does spread a bit though.
Meet William Lobb, he grows in our hedge, he has to as he is so prickly. Such a lovely rose, but only when you can’t touch him!
This is the reason I grow fennel, it supports so much life. Yes, it may be classed as pest life, but birds , ladybirds and lacewings eat the pest life. Fennel is also really easy to grow from seed as well.
